Home of Victoria’s celebrated Healesville Sanctuary, the Yarra Valley’s forest-covered hills also reveal many excellent wineries (the Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and sparkling wines are highly recommended), award-winning winery restaurants and luxurious retreats.

Two of our adventures include Healesville Sanctuary. The 1-day Paddle with a Platypus begins at Healesville before you climb aboard a raft on the Goulburn River and go in search of the timid platypus.

The 5-day Great Divide Discovery Package starts with a sampling of Yarra Valley food and wine, takes you to Healesville Sanctuary, and then continues with highlights such as the great forest drive along the Black Spur, river rafting to spot the platypus and a walk through the enchanted Wirrawilla Rainforest.
