This is Australia’s highest national park, embracing 1.5 million acres of vast and varied alpine terrain.

The park is criss-crossed with rivers and is home to a huge variety of flora and fauna, including many alpine plants, which are found nowhere else in the world. More than 200 species of birds have been spotted here, including the huge wedge tailed eagle, kestrels, emus and cockatoos.
