HIGHLIGHTS
• High country horse ride in ‘Man from Snowy River’ country
• Overnight accommodation in a choice of rustic bunkhouse or own private tent and swag
• Spectacular scenery and Australian wildlife
Day 1: Arrive at 9.30am at our high country farming propert y that’s been in the Watson family for many generations.
We then set off on our 'Man from Snowy River' experience on horseback. We ride up to spectacular 360 degree views and along the way, watch out for wildlife that often takes a look at us, including kangaroos, wallabies and the amazing birdlife.
We ride to the Dungeon Hut for lunch.
After lunch we ride along creek beds and bridle tracks to our accommodation at Howqua Valley Views, a bunkhouse converted from stables. There is a choice to stay in 1 of the 4 bunkrooms or in your own canvas tent in a swag. There are share bathrooms in the main lodge.
Enjoy a relaxing hot shower before a hearty dinner in one of Victoria's prettiest valleys.
Day 2: We enjoy a hearty country breakfast before we set off for “Kate Camerons Peak” where we see the perilously steep hill where the famous jump scene from the movie was filmed and down to the farm for lunch to complete our ride. |
